Scrap Pile Project: Rustic Shelf/Towel Rack

Scrap Pile Project: Rustic Shelf/Towel Rack

Happy Friday, Friends! We’ve got a BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW Scrap Pile Project for y’all this week! All of you will get a little peek inside our bathroom! YIKES! This is actually going to be just the 1st of a few fun little projects from our recent master bathroom refinish that we are going to share with all of you. And they are all FABULOUS and FUNCTIONAL all rolled into one! (It doesn’t get much better than that, my friends!)

The great thing about this particular scrap pile project is that it is FAST, SIMPLE, and super EASY ON THE POCKETBOOK. And not to mention, it only took us about 2 days to have completed (factoring in drying times), and didn’t cost us a single PENNY! That means this is a very doable weekend project for BEGINNERS and PROS alike!

For those of you who are new followers, here is a little info behind our scrap pile projects…. Our rules are simple: We use scraps from old projects, or pieces that we have gotten for FREE or LITTLE TO NO MONEY. And once we start, we have to use materials that we already have here. So no running to the store or spending any money! It can be a challenge, but we always have lots of fun and have a beautiful new treasure when it’s all said and done! So, here we go…Continue reading

Howard Miller Grandfather Clock Refinish

Howard Miller Grandfather Clock Refinish

Hi Friends, and Happy Friday! We recently had the pleasure of working with the Martin family on the refinish of their GORGEOUS Howard Miller grandfather clock. It was originally gifted years ago to Mrs. Martin from her husband and children as a Mother’s Day gift. She still loves it, but after their recent move, it needed a little updating in order to match the darker stain colors throughout their home. So, they dropped it off to us, and we got to work! Continue reading

Dining Room Set Refinish For Ms. Laura

Dining Room Set Refinish For Ms. Laura

Hi Friends, and Happy Monday! Today we are are sharing a GORGEOUS antique dining  set refinish for one of our sweet clients, Ms. Laura! We actually have several pieces that we recently repaired and refinished for her, but we will separate them into multiple posts to make things a bit easier.

Ms. Laura’s daughter, Tiffani, initially found us a few years back when she needed her dining set refinished. It was a very sentimental set for their family since it had been passed down to her from her grandmother. Since then, we have had the honor of building and refinishing several pieces for the homes of both of these wonderful ladies. Most recently, we refinished several pieces for Mrs Laura, including the dining set that we are going to reveal to all of you today!Continue reading

Sneaky Peek: New Farmhouse Dining Set

Sneaky Peek: New Farmhouse Dining Set

Happy Saturday, Friends! Check out who is finally starting to feel better! He has been going STIR CRAZY while recouping from his most recent procedures, and has been itching to get BACK IN THE SADDLE! Today, we are working on sanding, and preparing this newly finished table top on a brand new 9 foot farmhouse dining table! Come to think of it, this may be the LONGEST table we have built to date!

This top will soon get a coat of GORGEOUS Weathered Gray stain! Which, we are extra excited about because we haven’t had the opportunity to do this particular color on a dining table top before. SO… I guess you could say there are a lot of firsts going on around here today. And they are ALL GOOD THINGS!

We can’t wait to share our finished product with all of you. So, be sure to come back and check out pictures of our soon to be completed dining set! In the meantime, have a BLESSED weekend! 🙂

Our Schoolroom Renovation

Our Schoolroom Renovation

Hi Friends! With our school year coming to a close, we thought we would share some of the CHANGES and UPGRADES that we have made to our space over the past 8 months! We feel that our space will probably be one that is every-changing as we continue our homeschooling journey, but for the time being we are very pleased with how much we have accomplished this school year.

Since this was our very first year of homeschooling, we kind of JUMPED in with both feet forward. We didn’t know exactly what would work best for us, and fully expected this to be a year of TRIALS and ERRORS. This would be our year of really learning what would work best for our family, and what we were going to have to tweak and change a bit before getting into our groove.Continue reading

Mire Bedroom Set Refinish

Mire Bedroom Set Refinish

Happy Tuesday, Friends! We have a little something to share with all of you on this #TransformationTuesday! And when we say transformation, WE MEAN IT! We took an outdated oak bedroom set and gave it a Classy French Country feel that is sure to brighten, and open up its old space.

We recently completed a bedroom set refinish for the Mire family. Before we start, we just have to say that we love all of our clients; but Holly and Timmie were by far some of the easiest, most laid back clients that we have ever worked with. They basically dropped everything off to us, picked out their stain and paint colors, and said,”Do whatever you want, I trust you.” Now, that always makes me a little nervous, as I always want to make sure that we exceed our clients’ expectations by completing their pieces how THEY WANT. But Holly was 100% serious! She basically left the finishing up to Patrick and I! EEEPPP! 😉Continue reading
