Hi Friends, and Happy Friday! For those of you who have been asking for pictures of the sliding bypass barn doors that we just finished for the Hall family yesterday, we finally have them UPLOADED and READY for y’all to view!

This order was such a dream come true for us, as this was our very first time having the opportunity to build and install sliding bypass barn doors. This was one of those projects that we have drooled over on Pinterest, while PATIENTLY waiting for a client to request them! And it finally happened for us when we were contacted a few weeks ago by the Hall family’s interior designer, Noel!Continue reading

Scrap Pile Project: Rustic Shelf/Towel Rack

Happy Friday, Friends! We’ve got a BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW Scrap Pile Project for y’all this week! All of you will get a little peek inside our bathroom! YIKES! This is actually going to be just the 1st of a few fun little projects from our recent master bathroom refinish that we are going to share with all of you. And they are all FABULOUS and FUNCTIONAL all rolled into one! (It doesn’t get much better than that, my friends!)

The great thing about this particular scrap pile project is that it is FAST, SIMPLE, and super EASY ON THE POCKETBOOK. And not to mention, it only took us about 2 days to have completed (factoring in drying times), and didn’t cost us a single PENNY! That means this is a very doable weekend project for BEGINNERS and PROS alike!

For those of you who are new followers, here is a little info behind our scrap pile projects…. Our rules are simple: We use scraps from old projects, or pieces that we have gotten for FREE or LITTLE TO NO MONEY. And once we start, we have to use materials that we already have here. So no running to the store or spending any money! It can be a challenge, but we always have lots of fun and have a beautiful new treasure when it’s all said and done! So, here we go…Continue reading

Duncan Phyfe Dining Table Repair & Refinish for the McBrayer Family

Duncan Phyfe Dining Table Repair & Refinish for the McBrayer Family

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! Today we sharing a stunning repair/refinish of a GORGEOUS Duncan Phyfe dining table that we recently refinished for the McBrayer family. Mrs. McBrayer initially contacted us because their dining room table was almost unusable due to the poor condition of the legs and feet, and was in disparate need of a little TLC. They were splitting and separating because of the age of the table. You see, this beauty was a family heirloom that Mrs. McBrayer’s grandmother passed down to her. So, she was not planning on getting rid of it any time soon. This meant that it was imperative that it was fixed as soon as possible before the extent of the damage WORSENED.

We began by fully stripping, sanding, and cleaning the entire table. Once we had that completed, we were able to get to work on our repairs. This part was the most TEDIOUS because we had to be extremely GENTLE because the wood was very DELICATE while CAUTIOUSLY removed the legs and all of the old glue. Also several legs were broken, and the pillar holding each was cracked and separating as well. Continue reading

Dining Room Set Refinish For Ms. Laura

Dining Room Set Refinish For Ms. Laura

Hi Friends, and Happy Monday! Today we are are sharing a GORGEOUS antique dining  set refinish for one of our sweet clients, Ms. Laura! We actually have several pieces that we recently repaired and refinished for her, but we will separate them into multiple posts to make things a bit easier.

Ms. Laura’s daughter, Tiffani, initially found us a few years back when she needed her dining set refinished. It was a very sentimental set for their family since it had been passed down to her from her grandmother. Since then, we have had the honor of building and refinishing several pieces for the homes of both of these wonderful ladies. Most recently, we refinished several pieces for Mrs Laura, including the dining set that we are going to reveal to all of you today!Continue reading

They weren’t too thrilled about the colors, but it is solid wood and in good condition, and they saw some major POTENTIAL! And with a little TLC, we knew we could have her back to her original, BEAUTIFUL self in NO TIME!Continue reading

Restored Antique Dining Room Table

Restored Antique Dining Room Table

Hi Friends, and Happy Wednesday! Check out this FABULOUS Antique Dining Table that we just finished for the Tranchina family! This piece is over 100 years old, and was originally owned by Mr. Tranchina’s grandparents before it was passed down to him and his wife.  Before now, there had been a few attempts at refinishing it, but the laminate proved to be very difficult to remove. And  the sheer size of this piece was overwhelming (10 feet long). So, this beauty was never fully restored… UNTIL NOW!Continue reading

To All Of Our Clients Who Have Had The Misfortune Of Seeing Us In Our Work Attire…

To all of our clients who have ever had the MISFORTUNE of seeing us in our “WORK ATTIRE”… we do apologize for our appearance. HAHA! We typically have RAGGEDY ENSEMBLES on. Which is what one could expect since roughly 90% of our clothing has PAINT, STAIN, and SEALANT splattered all over them.  We are also typically covered in SAW DUST, my HAIR is almost always pulled up in a PONY TAIL, or back in a BRAID, and I pretty much NEVER HAVE MAKE UP ON. Continue reading
