Scrap Pile Project: Rustic Shelf/Towel Rack

Scrap Pile Project: Rustic Shelf/Towel Rack

Happy Friday, Friends! We’ve got a BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW Scrap Pile Project for y’all this week! All of you will get a little peek inside our bathroom! YIKES! This is actually going to be just the 1st of a few fun little projects from our recent master bathroom refinish that we are going to share with all of you. And they are all FABULOUS and FUNCTIONAL all rolled into one! (It doesn’t get much better than that, my friends!)

The great thing about this particular scrap pile project is that it is FAST, SIMPLE, and super EASY ON THE POCKETBOOK. And not to mention, it only took us about 2 days to have completed (factoring in drying times), and didn’t cost us a single PENNY! That means this is a very doable weekend project for BEGINNERS and PROS alike!

For those of you who are new followers, here is a little info behind our scrap pile projects…. Our rules are simple: We use scraps from old projects, or pieces that we have gotten for FREE or LITTLE TO NO MONEY. And once we start, we have to use materials that we already have here. Scrap Pile Project: Hall Tree

Scrap Pile Project: Hall Tree

Happy Thursday, Friends! One of our most favorite things to do around here is Up-cycling. In this case, we reused some old scraps, paint, stain, and hardware from old project that had been piling up in our shop. We absolutely LOVE to save all of our usable scraps for future projects, especially when they can be re-purposed into something NEW! Why waste if we don’t have to?

So, we got to work gathering all of our scraps that would have otherwise been BURNED or THROWN AWAY. We were even able to pull together a few decorative pieces that we purchased over the years…. but never found the right use for them… UNTIL NOW! They may have not seemed like much at the time, but once put together, they became a MASTERPIECE!Continue reading

Scrap Pile Project SNEAKY PEEK

Scrap Pile Project SNEAKY PEEK

Happy Saturday, Friends! Today, we are working on a fun little project with this PILE OF JUNK! It basically consists of an OLD DOOR that we purchased several years ago for $10, and a bunch of SCRAP WOOD left over from past projects. We absolutely LOVE to save all of our usable scraps for future projects. They may have not seemed like much at the time, but once put together, they can become a MASTERPIECE!

Here is our little SNEAKY PEEK of what we have so far… Can y’all guess what our finished product will be? More picture to come… So, keep an eye out! 😉
