Here Is Our Finished Up-Cycled Antique Door Into A Coffee Table

Hi Friends! Here is our FINISHED Up-cycled coffee table! Our client initially wanted the coffee table to be painted and with a distressed finish. This was partially due to the fact that they wanted to add a little COLOR to their living room, and also partially because we all honestly thought that the boards were going to be a bit DAMAGED since the door had been sitting in an old home for quite some time.

But once we took the door apart, and saw that it was actually old, TONGUE and GROOVE PINE FLOOR BOARDS, we had an IDEA! We sent the boards through the planer, and sanded and cleaned them up. Then WE COULD NOT BELIEVE OUR EYES! These boards were STUNNING! So…CHANGE OF PLANS! STAINING it was! We had the opportunity to refinish a beautiful table and chairs set this past week for a client. This set was 10 years old, had a few scratches and dings, and the chairs need to be tightened and repaired. But it still had A LOT of life left in it!
