If there is one thing that we know for sure, it’s that we DO NOT have a shortage of delicious food here in Louisiana. Especially during Mardi Gras Season! YUM!

Happy Birthday To Our February Babies!

Happy Birthday To Our February Babies!

We would like to wish all of our February babies a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Your birthday month is extra special because y’all have your very own cake of the month…. KING CAKE! And here in Louisiana, it doesn’t get much better than king cake. 😉

We would like to send out a very SPECIAL happy birthday wish to our cousin, Ryan. He and his sweet wife, Keri just found out that they are expecting their very first baby, and we are all OVER-THE-MOON excited for them! We can’t wait to welcome their new little bundle of joy in August! This will be the first baby in our family since we welcomed our youngest daughter almost 4 years ago. So, having a new little one is well over due.(And for the first time in a LONG time, Patrick and I aren’t the ones expecting! HAHA!)

If you are CELEBRATING a birthday this month, please let us know in the comments section below! We would love to wish you a happy birthday.

Happy 77th Birthday Paw Paw

Happy 77th Birthday Paw Paw

Excuse the picture as it is a little blurry, but everyone was SUPER EXCITED because we were celebrating our sweet Paw Paw’s birthday today! He is 77 years young and is still as HANDSOME and ACTIVE as ever!

Happy birthday again, Paw Paw! We love you to pieces and are so BLESSED to have been able to spend some special time with you today! ♡♡♡♡

Now This Is A Food Pyramid We Can Follow!

Now This Is A Food Pyramid We Can Follow!

Now This Is A Food Pyramid We Can Follow! THANK GOODNESS the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory started their production back today, or our food pyramid would have been RUINED! HAHA!

Now, we are well aware that this is a TEXAS food pyramid…BUT they are from the SOUTH TOO! So, we think it is pretty safe to say that it is fairly close to what our Louisiana food pyramid would look like. Except, we would add KING CAKE, GUMBO, BOUDIN, POBOYS, SNOWBALLS, and CRAWFISH!!! (Can we get an AMEN!?!?) Although, we do appreciate the fact that they have both MEXICAN FOOD and TACOS in 2 different categories! (I may be Italian, but I LOVE me some Mexican food!)
