Farmhouse Style Bench and Shelf

Farmhouse Style Bench and Shelf

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday! We have a fabulous new order that we recently finished for the King family that we are EXCITED to share with all of you! With the impending arrival of a new grandbaby, Mrs. King is preparing to host a beautiful baby shower at her home. While getting all of her preparations in order, she decided that she wanted some additional seating in a LOVELY LITTLE NOOK in her hallway which opens to her kitchen and areas where she will be entertaining guests. So, she and her daughter, Hilarie, contacted us with an inspiration picture along with their ideas for the space.

Here was the inspiration picture that we had to go off of…

Scrap Pile Project: Hall Tree

Scrap Pile Project: Hall Tree

Happy Thursday, Friends! One of our most favorite things to do around here is Up-cycling. In this case, we reused some old scraps, paint, stain, and hardware from old project that had been piling up in our shop. We absolutely LOVE to save all of our usable scraps for future projects, especially when they can be re-purposed into something NEW! Why waste if we don’t have to?

So, we got to work gathering all of our scraps that would have otherwise been BURNED or THROWN AWAY. We were even able to pull together a few decorative pieces that we purchased over the years…. but never found the right use for them… UNTIL NOW! They may have not seemed like much at the time, but once put together, they became a MASTERPIECE!Continue reading

Classic 3 Drawer Entry Table

Classic 3 Drawer Entry Table

Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Check out this BEAUTIFUL Entry Table that we recently built and finished for our sweet client, Laura! She contacted us needing a custom piece for her entryway, and sent us the specifics of the design that she was looking for which was CLASSIC with a RUSTIC feel. We took it from there!

This entry table features tons of great storage with the 3 upper drawers and 2 bottom shelves which could easily hold several decorative baskets, and the large top allows for a great display area for pictures and decor. Don’t you just LOVE pieces that are both STYLISH and FUNCTIONAL? We sure do!Continue reading

Antique Knob Coat Rack

Antique Knob Coat Rack

Hi Friends! Here is a brand new piece that we just finished for one of our wonderful clients, Laura! She wanted an ECLECTIC piece that she could use to hang coats and keys on in her entryway. She chose a solid wood backing, which we built using tongue and groove flooring planks. We then added a collection of knobs that feature both cast iron and glass. They give this piece a RUSTIC, ELEGANT, ANTIQUE feel. (There are additional cup hooks along the bottom for keys to hang.)Continue reading

Look What We Just Picked Up! Handles!

Look What We Just Picked Up! Handles!

We just picked up our handles for our Entry Console Cabinet, and boy are they BEAUTIFUL! They tie in PERFECTLY with the RUSTIC theme of our piece. And as I have said before, we have a thing for cast iron knobs! They bring so much CHARACTER to a any piece that they are added to. And we especially LOVE adding a face plate to the back of a knob. They take up more space and make, what would have been a simple knob, look much LARGER. And 99.9% BIGGER is always BETTER. LOL! We can do that here in the SOUTH. 😉

If you are just joining us, and would like to see our journey on this piece until now, you can view our progress HERE and HERE.

DIY Hanging Jewelry Organizer

DIY Hanging Jewelry Organizer

Happy Friday, Friends! We are back with another great DIY project for y’all! And as always, it is very cost effective and time friendly. Depending upon paint drying times, it should not take more than a few hours to make. We were able to pull together our material list from scrap lumber pieces, paint, and wire left over from previous projects. But you could easily find all of these materials at your local hardware store without breaking the bank.

This design came out of my own desperate need of somewhere to organize and store my hanging earrings and necklaces. I had a very small jewelry box that I would typically cram all of my jewelry into. But after many years, it became obvious that this was no longer a working option. Every time I would go to pull out a particular piece of jewelry, I would get a crazy, tangled ball of jewelry that looked like this….Continue reading

Rustic DIY Cross Plaque

Rustic DIY Cross Plaque

Hi Friends! This week, we threw together a great QUICK and EASY pallet project for all of you! And when we say quick and easy, we truly mean it! From start to finish, it only took us A FEW HOURS to have this project completed. And it DID NOT COST US A PENNY! Not to mention, the material list for this project is VERY SHORT. All that we used was 1 pallet, 1 cross, some leftover paint from a previous project, and some glue and screws.  Most DIYers will already have most of these items on hand. And if not, NO WORRIES! They are super easy to find and are NOT EXPENSIVE at all. Continue reading
